To walk with more stability and power, think more about your standing leg than your moving leg.
When walking, most people are more interested in the moving leg (the next step) rather than the standing leg that holds you up. Moving quickly is fine, but rushing the next step can lead to less control and a heavy foot strike. Thinking a little more about the standing leg can result in more power and stability as you walk, as well as a lighter step. Try it and see how it feels.
