Gasping also causes excess neck tension.
Leland Vall Alexander Technique Tip 44

One more tip to follow up on gasping.

Gasping can also cause excess neck tension. Try it. Gently place your hand on the back of your neck and take a quick breath. Then try allowing your breath to arrive without pulling it in and see if you feel a difference. People gasp more than they realize, but learning to allow your breath to arrive on it’s own time, instead of rushing it, can reduce neck tension.

gasping is a over use of neck.
The neck is doing the work of torso, head.

      Gasping is a symptom of
more or less tension of neck.

if we forget the breath, for nondoing by linking different parts while projecting directions, then i think it is almost equal to forgetting F.M.Alexander.

breath is a major PART of the human body , which we cant see with our eyes.

if we are DOING unconsciously with breath, and try to NONDO the other remaining parts neck, head, torso, limbs . then, i think it is almost impossible to NONDO these parts with out the NONDOING of the breath.

Alexander Breathing Reeducation technique OR Alexander technique,
is a process of allowing the breath or nondoing the breath naturally by nondoing of the parts neck, head, torso, limbs by projecting the useful directions ,in sequence one after the other all together with stimulus like walk, sit etc, for allowing the breath naturally.
this technique is not about posture. its about breathing.
a man who breaths well naturally, has the good posture naturally.
a man who has the good posture, breaths well naturally.
